Chromacolour is one of the most versatile paints I have ever used in my long career as an artist. It will perform to whatever requirements I demand of it, for example when I need a smooth wet in wet watercolour or hard edged acrylic style, this medium is perfect for the job. My work is very demanding in detail and Chromacolour suits this best. -

As a long established artist, I use chromacolour because I can trust it to do the job Ii require, for example beautiful transparent vibrant washes in watercolour style.

As I paint in a very traditional style I can build up in very thin glazes to produce clean colours which is brilliant for flesh tones and shadows. also I can use a thickener to build up impasto when required for acrylic and oil style.

My subject matter varies from commissioned portraits and pet portraits, to wildlife, flowers, and still life, but what ever the subject, chroma artist colour can deliver.

Robert Phillip Jones (b. 1950) is a land and sea-scape artist working in oil, watercolour, acrylic and increasingly in Chromacolour, reflecting the scenery of the Isle of Wight, where he has lived all his life, and Southern England.

Chromacolour, he says, is a remarkable paint which imparts a living glow to his work, offering a wide range of techniques including glazing, scumbling, and direct alla prima painting in strong, vibrant colour.
